The Integrated Post-Graduate School is one of the important tools of the KMM-NoE for spreading of excellence in the KMM domain. It is composed of the Doctoral Path and the Skill-Path offering intensive sessions on advanced topics in the KMM domain.

The Doctoral Path is targeted at doctoral students seeking the PhD degree in home institutions who wish to enhance their knowledge of the topics covered by the KMM-NoE. The IPGS will thus strengthen the doctoral studies held at the KMM-NoE participating institutions by offering advanced courses in the KMM-domain. After the KMM-NoE has reached a sufficient degree of integration the KMM-NoE Label for the doctoral degree may be attributed. Self-contained courses of the Doctoral Path will be grouped into intensive sessions lasting two weeks. An intensive session will consist of up to 3 advanced courses of 15-30 hours each.

The Second Intensive Session of Integrated Post-Graduate School (Doctoral Path) on “Physical phenomena in advanced materials” will be held in Ancona (Italy) on October 2 - 13, 2006 and will consist of 3 courses of 20 hours each.

The Session will be organized by the Università Politecnica della Marche (UNIVPM). The lecture room will be located at the Hotel Internazionale, Portonovo, near Ancona and near the beach. (hotel Internazionale home page: www.hotel-internazionale.com)
